Author with Autism visits Academy

Alexandra Adlawan is 24 years old and has autism. She has also already written and illustrated 2 beautiful children’s books. Alexandra came with her beautiful support dog to visit the Academy during our Spring has Sprung Event in April. She met with the students and answered questions. The students really wanted to pet her dog! Of course she also read her books to the students and everyone was incredibly quiet and focused (maybe because they had just hunted for eggs in the grass outside? Thank you Alexandra for sharing your talent with our students. It was inspiring to see that Alexandra did not let her autism limit her: she is doing what she loves!
